Standing Committees and Working Groups

AP-in-FAO relies on the work of voluntary standing committees and working groups composed of association members, each focused on a specific theme or workstream. Standing committees and working groups are an excellent opportunity for members to engage in issues of personal interest and to influence rules, policies, and practice.

Working Group on Flexible Work Arrangements

AP-in-FAO has long advocated for a flexible, efficient flexi-work policy at FAO. A policy in line with modern management practices, which enables employees to better balance work and personal responsibilities, reduces GHG emissions from commuting, while supporting the Organization in managing for results and meeting its mandate. Formed by the SRBs (AP-in-FAO and UGSS), this working group builds on the informative survey conducted by the Association in 2020 and provides valuable input to the AP-in-FAO Executive Secretariat, UGSS and FAO Management.
